In reply to Jeanette Vredevoogd. You need to pack more tomatoes in the jar and less water. Tomatoes are juicy enough without additional water. I never add extra water and I don’t have all that liquid separated to the bottom of the jar.

Why is there clear settlement in the bottom of my jars. The tomatoes are floating on top; clear water on the bottom.?
