So far this season, we have been able to construct 40 feet of super-high raised planting beds for people who need to sit or stand while gardening. We were also able to purchase 29 cubic yards of compost for bed replenishment this spring.
What challenges did or does your project face?
No real challenges, just coordination of resources, acquisition of donations.
How are you working to overcome them?
Projects taken on annually are well thought out, we do not take on more than we can realistically accomplish.
What did you or your project learn this season that might be useful to others as well?
We learned that the super-high planting beds are an awesome way to allow people who may not otherwise be able to garden enjoy all the wonderful benefits of growing and being outside in nature.
