Branches of Life Vegetable Garden

By Charles KalundaJune 27, 2018 No Comments
What were your biggest successes this season?

We trained more than 30 street children and youths how to grow vegetables and paid school fees for (5) former street children to access education. We managed to stock enough food for half a year 2018.

What challenges did or does your project face?

Weather changes time to time during our season of farming , but during the last month we did make it and we used irrigation system to yield our crops. About paying school fees for the children , we paid only two terms and now the third term we are not sure where to get the money for school fees .

How are you working to overcome them?

We plan to have more holes for water storing (harvest), we also plan to purchase the water tank during the rainy season we can store water that will take us through the dry season .we are still working on starting more income generating projects to help us cater for the school fees

What did you or your project learn this season that might be useful to others as well?

Well, we was a great kick start to the organization to start our garden and sending off former street children to schools and always keep trying to reach out other funding agencies and try your luck.
