Community garden to assist widowed women’s in difficulty

By Mrs ETO SELEMANI BAWILI No Comments
What were your biggest successes this season?

37 widowed women beneficiaries of our garden project sent their children to school, and their children moved on to the upper classes and we pay the costs of child health care and family food thanks to our support of the garden project.

What challenges did or does your project face?

The widowed women's assistance garden project faces the challenges of:
- High number of beneficiaries compared to our production following COVID 19
- Insufficient agricultural, phito-sanitary equipment, seeds and chemical fertilizer.
- Land rental for the Garden project.

How are you working to overcome them?

Some members of our group sometimes donate their land for the garden project, and other challenges so far do not have a solution, which is why we need financial support to properly assist widowed women in difficulty.

What did you or your project learn this season that might be useful to others as well?

This year the result of our group’s garden brought forward, children's education, medical care, food and other basic needs for the families of the widowed women beneficiaries “WITH THE GARDEN WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD”
