I manage to feed the 600 people withought any shortage.again i managed to reache out to the orphans and old people in the village, so it was a real succes.on the other hand i managed to train another 30 people from another village who came to join our project.
What challenges did or does your project face?
during rainny season we face too much of flood which destroy our plant, and during dry season we have the challenge of getting water because where we normaly get water during dry season is very far it is about 2 and ahalf kilometer, and we just carry water on our head with buckets and that makes our work so tiresome.again we dont have enough farm tools
How are you working to overcome them?
we are try our best to construct swales to control the flow of water, again we are trying to raise the soil and built terraces to avoid soil erosion.during dry season we are borrowing wheelbarrows from another community which help us to get water from the river and after getting water to the farm we use drip irigation method
What did you or your project learn this season that might be useful to others as well?
we learn that we should be well prepared by raise soil and building terraces to avoid soil erosion during rainny season, also using techniques like building keyhole garden, mandala garden, spiral garden and sack garden
