Our biggest success was getting being able to directly provide access to fresh locally food to neighborhoods in need. Families have been able to buy local food from us at affordable prices and use government benefits making it super convenient and easy.
What challenges did or does your project face?
Our biggest challenge is getting used to working with this unit and the working out the kinks to make things easier to work with. Also, there are many more people to reach in the neighborhoods we are targeting, so getting the word out to them is challenging. But all of it is manageable and possible to improve.
How are you working to overcome them?
We are finding out the easiest ways to work with the mobile unit through trial and error and learning. Also, we advertise and canvas the community the spread the word.
What did you or your project learn this season that might be useful to others as well?
Consistency is vital in reaching folks. Setting a schedule and sticking to it, so there is certainty.
