What challenges did or does your project face?
BARWODA experienced the following challenges;
1- The scope of the project was big and the funds were little.
2- Sunshine that causes prolonged droughts sometime make our gardens dry.
3- Women lacked seedlings
4- Pests and diseases
How are you working to overcome them?
We are working to over come this by;
1- Reapplying for more funding to extend on the vegetable garden
2- Encouraging our women farmers to do excessive mulching
3- Apply for more money for seedlings
4- We made pesticides from herbal to kill pests and diseases
What did you or your project learn this season that might be useful to others as well?
Our learnt that the use of pesticides are useful in the control of pests and diseases in vegetable growing. Also training prior to project start is important and helps projects be carried out efficiently.
