Project G.R.A.P.E. (Growing Readily Available Produce Everywhere)

What were your biggest successes this season?

It was awesome to grow our donation pool and reach more people that supported our work and chose to donate to our program. We were able to continue our in-person gardening sessions with our youth participants.

What challenges did or does your project face?

One of the challenges we face until now is that it is hard to remain in contact with our representative from the school that we are partnered with where we hold our garden sessions. We struggle day to day with making sure we have an open communication with the school so that we are all well-abreast with the updates with the garden.

How are you working to overcome them?

We all using all of the open channels that are made available to us with getting in contact with the school whether it be phone or email. As well as providing insight to the school why they should be involved in the continuation of these garden sessions with our program and their students.

What did you or your project learn this season that might be useful to others as well?

We learned and continue to learn that being adaptable and communicable will always help you in achieving your program goals.
