Tolerance Garden

By Lisa LissJune 15, 2018 No Comments
What were your biggest successes this season?

We were able to create 16 panels of 4X8 murals, repair our Tolerance garden, install new raised beds, create a tolerance quote path and more. Having so many people come out to help us was a huge success.

What challenges did or does your project face?

We did not receive any funding from Seed Money or any other grants this year for our garden. Theft was a challenge this year as several wood pieces from our Anne Frank benches were stolen and had to be replaced.

How are you working to overcome them?

I continue to write grants each month to try to receive funding. As a 98% high poverty school, it is imperative that I figure out how to pay for our Tolerance garden.

What did you or your project learn this season that might be useful to others as well?

That persistence pays off.
