If you have ever grown zucchini before, you know that a garden is a gift that keeps giving…and giving…and giving! While food gardens allow families and communities to save money over time, they do require some investment up front to buy seeds, supplies, tools and other materials.
As a nonprofit, SeedMoney is working to make it easier for public food garden projects across the US and around the world to raise the money they need either to start up or sustain themselves. Today is Giving Tuesday, the biggest day of the year for charitable giving. If you haven’t donated to a garden project already this year, I’d like to invite you to do so today.

We have 585 garden projects from 46 US states and 37 other countries participating in our 8th Annual SeedMoney Challenge. If you can’t find a project to support near your home, I’m sure you can find one near your heart!
By donating any amount to any project today, you’ll be entering the project into the running for a $400 gift certificate from Gardener’s Supply Company and a $100 gift certificate for yourself. Below, you can see the graphics we produced for our garden projects about this additional grant opportunity.
Thanks for giving the gift of gardens this Giving Tuesday!
