Support SeedMoney
One gift.
Hundreds of food gardens.
Schools, food banks, and neighbors everywhere are ready to grow their own food. Your gift funds the grants that turn those plans into thriving gardens, and unlocks the local support that multiplies what you give.
Trusted & transparent
Your gift is in good hands
SeedMoney is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 56-2389230). Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
For every $1 SeedMoney grants through the challenge program, $5.50 in total community investment flows to food garden projects — rising to 6.2× in 2025, the highest funding multiplier in the program’s history. See the full impact audit.
Why it matters
Growing food. Strengthening communities.
Food gardens do more than grow food. They turn schoolyards into classrooms, supply fresh produce to food banks, and bring neighbors together. SeedMoney helps make those gardens possible — 3,687 of them so far, in 65 countries and all 52 U.S. states and territories.
And your gift goes further than you’d expect. Through our challenge-grant model, communities raise money for their own projects, and historically every $1 we grant has helped unlock more than $5.50 in additional local support. Your gift powers those grants — so it helps set that multiplier in motion.

The biggest help
Join the Monthly Growers
A monthly gift is the most powerful way to support our work. Steady, year-round funding lets us back community gardens in every season, not just during our fall challenge, so we can plan ahead and say yes to more of them. Change or cancel anytime.

Questions about giving?
I’d be happy to help personally.
For more than 20 years, I’ve led SeedMoney and helped thousands of food gardens take root, from the smallest school garden to the first vegetable garden on the White House lawn since Eleanor Roosevelt’s. If you have a question about giving, I’d be glad to hear from you.
